Lorne Curry
Group Benefit Advisor
Lorne is a seasoned professional with over 28 years of experience in the Financial Services industry. Holding both the Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS) and Certified Life underwriter (CLU) designations, as well as being a proud member of the CGIB (Canadian Group Insurance Brokers Association) Lorne brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table.
But what sets Lorne apart is his journey—from being a part of the management team at a major corporation to venturing into self-employment and operating various small businesses. This diverse background has equipped him with a unique perspective on serving his clients.
For the past 15 years, Lorne has honed his skills in Group Benefits, specializing in crafting tailored solutions for successful business owners and management teams. He thrives on the challenge of creating the best possible Group Benefit Plan for each company he works with, knowing the significant impact it can have on employees and their families.
Beyond his professional achievements, Lorne's life is rich with love and family. Married to Jeanette for over 40 years, they are proud parents to two sons, Joseph and Brendan, and doting grandparents to four grandchildren. Family is at the heart of everything Lorne does, whether it's spending quality time with his loved ones or cheering them on from the sidelines of a hockey game.

Shannon Curry
Group Benefit Administrator
Born and raised in Peterborough, Shannon embarked on a fulfilling journey in the dental industry, first as a dental assistant before dedicating a decade to dental hygiene. Transitioning to Curry Group Benefit Solutions almost two years ago has been a rewarding shift, allowing her to extend unwavering support to our clients while immersing herself into the intricacies of the business.
As a proud member of the CGIB (Canadian Group Benefit Specialists), she prioritizes ongoing education to stay current in industry trends.
Currently she is working towards obtaining her LLQP. Beyond professional pursuits, and spending quality time with her husband Brendan and two kids, Hugh, and Jenna, she finds joy in golfing, hiking and yoga.
Joan Higgins
Group Benefit Administrator
Joan has been working with Lorne for over two decades. She works behind the scenes managing our office operations. Her role revolves around providing assistance for Lorne and Shannon while delivering exceptional customer service to our valued group benefits clients.
Outside of the office, Joan enjoys experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and spending time in her flower gardens amidst colourful blooms and enjoying nature’s beauty. She cherishes moments spent with her family, including her husband Phil, and their children Kaitlin and Daniel, along with their spouses.

Tammy Woodbeck
Reception/ Administrator
Meet Tammy, the warm and welcoming face of our team here at Curry Group Benefit Solutions. Joining us back in February 2016, Tammy has been the first point of contact for our clients. As our dedicated receptionist, Tammy ensures that every interaction is filled with quality customer service. But Tammy's role doesn't stop there. She's always ready to lend a hand to Joan, Shannon, or Lorne whenever they need assistance. With years of experience in office environments, Tammy thrives in the hustle and bustle, making sure everything runs smoothly.
Beyond the office, Tammy's life is just as vibrant. Married to her husband Dave, they've recently become empty-nesters after their two daughters, Jessica and Kristy, flew the nest. But their home is far from quiet with their high-energy Mini Aussie, Bella, and their beloved tabby cat, Spice, keeping them company. When she's not busy at work or tending to her pets, Tammy enjoys her small vegetable and flower gardens.
We're lucky to have Tammy as a part of the team, making every day brighter with her smile and dedication.
